You will emphasize the responsibilities of assessing, managing, and transporting patients in stabilized conditions, emergencies and situations that may become emergencies. You will learn to develop diverse assessment methodologies and adapt approaches to various patient presentations across neonatal, paediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Content will include assessment, pathophysiological processes, and management of various medical and traumatic conditions that may affect pre-hospital patients. Emphasis will be placed on the critical-thinking process and differential diagnosis, using scenario-based case studies. The course is directly related to the competencies located in the NOCPs.
