Description:

You will place emphasis on the responsibilities of assessing, managing, and transporting patients in stabilized conditions, emergencies and situations that may become emergencies. You will learn to develop diverse assessment methodologies, and approach modifications for various patient presentations in the neonate, paediatric, adult, and the geriatric patient. Content will include assessment, pathophysiological process, and management of various medical and traumatic problems that may afflict pre-hospital patients. Emphasis will be placed on the critical thinking process and differential diagnosis, utilizing scenario based case studies. The course is directly related to the competencies located in the NOCP's.
