Description:

You will expand on your BLS/ALS knowledge base from your Primary Care Paramedic education. Emphasis will be placed on pathophysiology, assessment and diagnostics, and the incorporation of appropriate treatment plans for specific patient presentations. You will develop diverse assessment methodologies, critical-thinking skills, and approach modifications, enabling appropriate integration of treatment plans based on patient presentations and differential diagnoses. You will obtain a specific 'A' for academic requirements for the Advanced Care Paramedic, within the National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) for the Paramedic Practitioner in Canada.
