Description:

Combining theory and simulation, you will learn how to utilize the equipment carried by an ambulance in the Province of Ontario required to provide the necessary care for a variety of traumatic and medical problems. Proper body mechanics with emphasis on strength will be expected. You will be introduced to the Primary and Secondary assessment, including vital sign assessment, scene assessment, and required communication to establish pertinent call information needed to provide optimal care to patients. This course corresponds with the National Occupational Competency Profiles (NOCP) for the Paramedic Practitioner, under the area of 'S' for simulation.
