Description:

You will study relevant theory in Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology, as well as the body's coping mechanisms for maintaining homeostatic balance in stressful or traumatic situations. You will learn to assess patients in a variety of situations, ranging from the musculoskeletal system and soft tissue injuries to the genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems, to determine treatment and transport priorities, implement appropriate treatment protocols, and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure optimal patient care. This course aligns with the National Occupational Competency Profiles (NOCP) for the Paramedic Practitioner, emphasizing assessments, therapeutics, and the integration of care.
