Description:

In this course, a selected group of current technologies are explored. They include the principles of both analog and digital television broadcast and video systems, as well as various methods for digitally coding video and audio signals. An overview of HDTV and the related ATSC broadcasting standards is covered, as well as other topics including data acquisition systems, applications of automated test and measurement methods, and the use of engineering tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. Reconfigurable chip design will be implemented for radio communications applications.
