Description:

Students will be introduced to applications that combine the theory acquired from previous courses, concepts of Engineering, and tools that facilitate their development. Analysis and design methods will be applied to linear and switching regulators, oscillators, active filters, LDO (low-dropout) circuits, transimpedance op-amp circuits, and signal conditioning. Subjects including laser diode drivers, PIN photodiode receiver circuits, solar technology and data acquisition will be used to complement the applications mentioned. Students will be introduced to MATLAB, Filter Lab, Agilent VEE and PSPICE as development tools.
