Description:

You will be introduced to the most common electronic devices; diodes, transistors including BJT, JFET, MOSFET, IGBT and thyristors including SCR and TRIAC. You will learn how each device operates and learn how to analyze and assemble electronic circuits. You will use a breadboard to assemble circuits such as rectifiers, amplifiers, drivers, and basic motor control. In this course you will learn the features of the oscilloscope to examine circuit behaviour and to demonstrate the correct operation of your circuits.

  • ELEC1124 - Electrical I OR
    • ELEC1126 - DC Electrical Circuits AND
    • ELNC1126 - Electronic Devices
