Description:

In this course, you will be presented with all aspects of instrumentation and apply a broad range of automatic control systems and their devices, as they relate to current industry practices. You will design basic and advanced feedback systems for batch and continuous industrial processes. Programming an advanced PLC and HMI system, you will simulate the PID control of real-world processes. Through this lab simulation, you will observe and reinforce the classroom theoretical concepts of transient and steady-state responses to a changing reference. Finally, you will apply transducers, sensors and actuators within the context of piping and instrumentation diagrams.
