Description:

This course is a detailed study of AC synchronous machines. Topics include: three-phase generator construction, synchronous generator equivalent circuits, operating characteristics and parallel operation, thermal generating systems including co-generation, synchronous motor operation, starting, power factor and machine control, ratings of machines and engineering mechanics of motor loads.
