This course studies the fundamental principles behind electromagnetic machines and apparatus. Course emphasis is on DC motors and generators and their associated control systems, covering such topics as: magnetic field theory, electromotive force, physics of moving systems, torque, speed control and regulation, output power, starting methods, DC Drives, electro-mechanical control devices, and interpreting schematic diagrams.
