This course will introduce students to electrical instrumentation. It will discuss process control and instrumentation components such as proximity sensors, mechanical, optical, and reed switches, debouncing, temperature sensors, light sensors, HVAC, sound and sonar, strain gauges, pressure sensors, infrared sensors, accuracy and precision, and a quick introduction to programmable logic controllers.
