Description:

Students will learn the role of the resource consultant in collaborating with families and early childhood educators to support learning and development in children with diverse abilities. This includes consultation, service coordination and referral support, and creating and promoting professional service team relationships based on mutual respect and collaboration. Developing individual program plans and family service plans for children and families, creating and maintaining accurate records and documentation of all consultation and advocating for inclusive services for children with diverse abilities and their families will be explored.
