This course will investigate the fascinating world of children 30 months to 6 years of age in the context of early learning and care environments. You will be introduced to the foundational ideas of play-based learning and developmentally appropriate practice; to some of the key individuals influencing current beliefs in ECE and education; and to the many roles of an Early Childhood Educator in play-based learning environments. You will learn about the Child Care and Early Years Act and the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) document.
