Description:

The Artisan Distillery industry in Canada has been in existence for over 200 years. Despite strict regulations and laws the industry continues to grow and flourish utilizing unique and locally grown ingredients to produce high quality spirits. In this course you will learn how various ingredients in the distillation process affect the style, quality and taste of the finished product. You will explore the processing of these ingredients and engage in a focused analysis of the equipment used in the production of distilled spirits, including fermenters and stills. You will also analyze the safety and sanitation practices within a Distillery and how these safety protocols contribute to the health and well-being of distillation employees and consumers.
