Description:

In this course you will focus on oral health management from an individual risk factor disease prevention perspective. Available dentifrices and mouth rinses are reviewed to determine the cosmetic and therapeutic properties. Preventive agents such as fluoride as an anticaries agent, other anticaries agents and procedures (sealants, fluoride varnishes) and antibacterial agents for home use are studied. Health promotion is introduced during tobacco use cessation counselling.
