You will study of approaches to oral health education and interventions for the three levels of prevention (primary, secondary, tertiary). Theories of behavioral change (health belief model, stages of change) will be considered, as are an introduction to health determinants as essential to health. Strategies for the promotion of health under marketing, health education, collaboration, mass media use, and community organization will be introduced. Viewing the community as the client and using the process of care, health promotion activities will be implemented for a selected target group on the Niagara College campus 'community' setting.
