Description:

You will investigate the fundamentals of dental radiography. You will apply theoretical, legal and practical concepts in exposing, processing, and handling dental radiographs. Successful completion of both components (pre-clinic and theory) is required to be promoted in this course. Dental Assisting students are deemed qualified to operate dental x-ray machines after successfully completing the dental assisting program. Dental Hygiene students are deemed qualified to operate dental x-ray machines once they register with a provincial regulating body (e.g., the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario).
