In this course, you will be introduced to Business Analytics using the SOAR model: specify the question, obtain the data, analyze the data, and report the results. This model will be used to process and analyze data in Supply Chain and Operations, conduct interdisciplinary analysis in Finance and Managerial Accounting, and visualize results. Various software packages will be used to emphasize descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Students will learn the foundational principles of business analytics and gain an analytical mindset, an understanding of various business processes, and the technical ability to make effective data-driven business decisions.
