This course will introduce students to Business Analytics using the SOAR model: Specify the question, obtain the data, analyze the data, and report the results. This model will be used to process and analyze data across Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing business examples, and to visualize results. Various software packages will be used to emphasize descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Students will learn the foundational principles of business analytics and gain an analytical mindset, an understanding of various business processes, and the technical ability to make data-driven business decisions.
