This course will provide the opportunity to practice various counselling techniques and communication skills using role play to develop and maintain relationships with children and youth. The course will demonstrate a client-centred and strengths-based approach to promoting positive change. You will learn to assist children and youth in developing their problem-solving skills and promote strategies and empowerment. You will learn how your values and beliefs impact your professional skills.
