You will examine best practices for creating innovative processed food products. From idea/concept to launch, you will learn and apply fundamentals of innovation management from knowledge mining, research, ideation, concept scoping, new formula development briefs, concept testing, packaging/label design briefs, product costing, strategic marketing and more. Along the way you will participate in an ideation session and step-by-step write a New Product Development plan for your own food product project. One of the keys to your success will be exploring your innovation orientation strengths and preferences, and collaborating with others.
