Description:

Quality assurance and quality control are essential management strategies for delivering safe and high quality foods. In this course you will analyse the different requirements for quality assurance and quality control programs. You will discover different food quality management systems used by industry that interface with, and in many cases go beyond food safety management. You will apply skills from chemistry, microbiology and sensory courses to define quality attributes measured in quality control processes. You will write and troubleshoot standard operating procedures for quality control procedures, and use statistical methods to identify quality defect action levels.
