Use of food safety principles is vital in the food processing industry. In this course you will gain the knowledge of different food safety programs with emphasis on HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices which are commonly used in Canada and around the world. You will design basic HACCP plans You will discover a variety of manufacturing unit operations, with an emphasis on how food safety can be maintained and controlled within each manufacturing process.
