This course will provide a philosophical, value-based approach to providing positive behavioural support to persons having developmental challenges. Practical strategies will be provided for supporting positive social growth, with primary considerations given to relevant legal, ethical and administrative boundaries/regulations. The emphasis will be on the development of functional competencies through the practice of skills during group work, discussions and demonstration.
