This course is designed to introduce you to the helping/counselling process. You will become familiar with the selection of counselling strategies which will be useful in a variety of settings and situations. You will also examine some of the problems encountered in the helping process and some methods of alleviating and/or compensating for these problems. You will have the opportunity to develop your own personal approach to helping and communicating/relationship skills critical to effective helping.
