In this course, you will complete the first phase of a comprehensive construction design project, using technical communication strategies in tandem with construction theory and application You will collaborate as a member of a construction design team on the following project elements: identifying a real scenario, determining project scope, writing a statement of scope document, getting topic approval from construction faculty, establishing a relationship with a real client, writing two chapters of a construction proposal, and preparing preliminary architectural drawings. The primary course outcome is the preparation of an initial design for the client that conforms to program and industry standards.
