Description:

The student will become competent in using and applying the Ontario Building Code (OBC) to residential construction and renovation. New housing and small buildings (Part 9 of the OBC) will be reviewed, and the students will cover code requirements for renovation projects (Part 11 of the OBC). The role of the Certified Building Designer in the design and permit application process will be explored.
