Description:

Students will develop an understanding of the numerous structural components and associated installation processes that combine to produce a typical residential or light commercial project. The envelope and how it integrates with insulation and barriers will be dealt with in detail. The typical industry production and assembly of wall and roof components will be central to the discussion of these areas. The learner will develop an appreciation of the load bearing requirements of these structural components and their integral nature to the dwelling.
