This course provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge of gerontological nursing in a clinical practice environment. Students will utilize previously acquired theoretical knowledge and apply advanced clinical reasoning and judgment skills in caring for the older adult in various acute and nursing home settings. They will further development of critical thinking skills, incorporate evidence based resources integrating gerontological nursing competencies and standards into their practice.
