In this course, you will participate in seven eight-hour placement sessions at a long-term-care facility. You will utilize the skills and knowledge learned in Term One to provide care to clients who require the availability of 24-hour nursing care, supervision, and high levels of personal care and support within a secure setting (Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Website, Last Modified Feb 2011). You will work under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and in cooperation with a Staff Partner (an employee of the long-term-care setting).
