You will develop estimates using the Elemental Cost Analysis methodology. You will develop unit prices for formwork and excavation, owning and operating costs of excavation equipment. You will perform a complete quantity take-off of a commercial project. You will use productivity and crew tables to calculate costs of labour and total project duration. A full bid package will be prepared in a group setting and submitted under 'tender closing' conditions. WinEst Estimating Software, R.S. Means CostWorks and Microsoft Excel will be utilized extensively throughout the course.
