Description:

In this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to design and detail reinforced concrete buildings using the limit states design methodology. You will design various types of reinforced concrete members, including beams, floor slabs, and columns, in accordance with CAN/CSA-A23.3-04, Design of Concrete Structures. Additionally, you will produce reinforcing steel detail drawings for beams and slabs based on design calculations, following current practices and codes.

Prerequisites for this course

  • CAPT1515 - CAD II AND
  • CIVL1421 - Strength of Materials
