This course will introduce you to the terminology, theory and practices used in the development of highway design from its conception to the detailed design drawings. You will select the appropriate design criteria to ensure safe, navigable roads in accordance with Canadian geometric design standards. Various roadway alignments, intersections, and cross-sections will be designed using advanced CAD design-drafting software.
