Description:

This course will introduce you to the terminology, theory and practices used in the development of highway design from its conception to the detailed design drawings. You will select the appropriate design criteria to ensure safe navigable roads based upon geometric design standards for Canadian roads. Various roadway alignments, intersections and cross-sections will be designed using advanced CAD design-drafting software.
