Code:
CIVL1421PAdmit Term:
2026 Fall 1264Credits:
3Description:
In this course, you will develop your knowledge and problem-solving skills in a general study of the strength materials, including tension, compression, and bending. The concepts of axial stress and strain, thermal stress and strain, limit states design, shear force and bending moment diagrams, bending stresses in beams, and beam deflections are explored in depth. Students will calculate stress, strain, and deformation of common structural members subjected to various loading conditions encountered in building construction technology.
