In this course, you will develop your knowledge and skills related to the inspection and testing of soil and asphalt in various construction applications. You will, as part of this course, classify soils according to the Unified, Textural and AASHTO Classification Systems; determine the moisture-density relationship for soils using the Standard/Modified Proctor tests; interpret compaction specifications; and design an asphalt cement mix using the Marshall Design Method.
