You will calculate the quantities of concrete and formwork required for irregular shaped concrete abutments and footings for a retaining wall. You will Calculate the excavation and backfill requirements for a commercial plaza sewer system, including catchbasins and manholes. You will combine the skills learned to complete a calculation of the quantities of earth fill and concrete to construct a roadway overpass including earth fill ramps, concrete retaining walls and a reinforced concrete slab. Microsoft Excel will be utilized throughout the course.
