The student will become proficient in applying the Ontario Building Code (OBC) to residential construction and renovation. New housing and small buildings (Part 9 of the OBC) will be reviewed, as well as resource conservation (Part 12 of the OBC). The role of the Certified Building Designer in the design and permit application process will be explored.
