In this course, you will examine the nurse's role when caring for persons requiring support with acute health challenges. In the lab setting, you will develop competence with various nursing interventions, including, but not limited to, oxygen administration, nutrition, and bowel elimination. You will learn to collaborate with clients to support them with treatment plans. You will cultivate your ability to develop therapeutic nurse-client relationships framed within the College of Nurses of Ontario's (CNO's) values of client well-being, client choice, privacy and confidentiality, respect for life, maintaining commitments, truthfulness, and fairness.
