Description:

This course examines major issues and debates related to topics within global health. Learners will develop the capacity to critically assess scientific research and practices that address global health inequalities and inequities. Learners will explore the fundamental aspects of philosophical debates about social justice and health equity and consider how social, racial, and economic inequalities impact health. Learners will also explore scientific research and practice with special attention to translating scientific knowledge in the public sphere and its ability to inform policies, practices, and laws.
