This course introduces the student to the study of pathophysiology. An integrated, systemic approach will be taken to provide the student with background concepts for understanding pathophysiology. Basic pathophysiological concepts and terminology, as well as the pathophysiology of the nervous, endocrine, hematologic, cardiovascular, lymph, and respiratory systems, will be covered. It is expected that the student will bring to this course a competent background in human anatomy and physiology.
