Building on the fundamentals of post sound explored in BRTF 1220, in this course you will learn how build effective soundscapes for the screen using professional sound editing software and mixing interfaces. Through a combination of in-class workshops and group projects, you will apply advanced post sound editing, recording and mixing techniques to craft a film soundtrack with professional delivery requirements. In addition to the above, through the screening of selected works and models, you will analyze and evaluate the creative use of sound and sound theory as a storytelling device in the motion picture industry.
