Building on the fundamentals learned in BRTF 1172, in this course you will learn advanced picture editing techniques using professional industry standard Non-Linear Editing (NLE) software. Topics include, advanced workflow, keyboard mapping and shortcuts, syncing double system clips, media management, working with effects titles and graphics, consolidating projects, keyframing, advanced audio editing & trimming techniques as well as an introduction to color correction. In addition, through selected readings, screenings and discussion, you continue to critique and analyze the historic development of editorial craft, style and theory and apply it to their own editing projects.
