This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of filmmaking. Students will study visual storytelling, cinematic space and time, film continuity, cinematography and film editing. Although the emphasis of the course is technical, aesthetic and stylistic considerations will be addressed, as will a brief history of filmmaking.
