Students will be linked with industry partners for a work integrated learning opportunity to further hone the craft and skills involved in commercial beekeeping. Industry partners will be able to engage students in a variety of projects and specific aspects of beekeeping and apiary management. Using project management best practices students will learn how to initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control and close a real-world project associated with an actual beekeeping operation either with an industry partner or directly with Niagara College's apiary and beekeeping operations. This course will serve as the first part of a two semester course that will provide students with practical "real-world" experience in the beekeeping industry.
