Description:

In this course, you will study the anatomy and physiology of the major organ systems in the human body, including the endocrine, digestive, circulatory, respiratory, musculoskeletal, nervous, senses, immune and urinary systems at macroscopic and microscopic levels. You will examine and classify tissues within these major systems and identify their distinguishing characteristics. Emphasis is placed on how anatomy and physiology within multiple systems work together to maintain a homeostatic balance of vital cells, gases, nutrients, chemicals, cycles and circuits within the body. Experimentations/simulations, dissections and demonstrations will reinforce your understanding of the human body's important anatomical and physiological features.
