In this course you will learn the role and requirements of the financial manager at both the individual unit and corporate level for hospitality enterprises. You will gain an understanding of the significance of financial management to the welfare of the hospitality operation with a focus on practical fiscal accountability/responsibility as well as maximizing the utility of available financial resources. Course content will include financial analysis, market forces awareness, operating and financial leverage, the net operating cycle, working capital management, the time value of money, the cost of capital, capital budgeting, risk analysis, lease financing, capital markets, and the role of hotel market evaluation.
