This course will provide you with a study of generally accepted accounting principles as they relate to financial reporting for unincorporated service and merchandising businesses. You will be introduced to the purpose and nature of accounting and the preparation of financial statements. In addition, you will investigate how accounting is used to manage various assets, how to conduct financial statement analysis and introduce data analytics in accounting.
