Students will gain knowledge of automotive engine cylinder heads, valve trains, camshafts, and forced induction systems via classroom activities, research, and practical applications. Cylinder head theory will be covered, detailing the construction, types and styles of cylinder heads and related components. The principles of servicing and reconditioning heads and associated components will be discussed in theory and put into practice in the lab. Engine failure analysis will be discussed and practiced.
